Do Yellow Perch count it the Tournament?

Didn't think I was going to fish this morning due to the rain but when I let the dog out this morning it was a flood tide and I saw a few fish poping topwater so I couldn't resist! I fished Friday night and yesterday morning and could only muster fish in the 8.5 to 9.5 inch range. Today I don't know if it was the tide, or the rain or that the water was more stained but I caught several fish right a 10 inches and a 10.75 inch White Perch which helps my total and 12.5 inch Yellow Perch which really took me by suprise! Even in the fall and spring I do not catch many Yellow Perch for some reason so when it came up I was almost shocked! We used to catch them more frequently when we were kids but not so much lately! I may give it another shot this afternoon after my daughters field hockey game! Somebody has to stop Woody - he has been on fire :))
