Fun day as quest of Cpt'ns Joe O'Malley and Chris Hallberg aboard the Tail Hook.
Boated three Cobia, largest 49 lbs. by Jim Branscome. John Fick and I each had smaller but very nice fish. Action was steady all day with 2 more lost at the boat and numerous runs. Some trouble with rays late in the day.
Best bait was cut bunker with some action on live eels.
Wouldn't be right to give an exact location when I was a guest but I will say somewhere in the vicinity of Bluefish Rock.
Fried chicken, deli sandwiches and cold beer. What a day.
