I see on the chart the large dropoff in Tangier sound and can't help but wonder if it's worth the fuel to go there. It seems like lots of area and depth changes. Any help is ok.

Mark,
Never fished the place, but last year the croaker bite was very good at the Light. One of the seminars that I attend told of good flounder bite there also. The North end of the sound has produced some big Red Drum. That really is a hike to get up there. Planning on trying the light area myself next time in the area.

Where in the north end of sound are you talking about?

Some red/black drum are caught off Parkers and scarbourough's island which is just south of the mouth of Onancock Creek.

How far of a hike? And would it be worth it?

Haven't heard of any flounder yet. The Croakers just got here. Everything is late this year. Think its because of the cold that hung around. There was a report of catching Spadefish around the target ship about two weeks ago.
