new member here and unfamiliar w/ fishing on Potomac. Based just south of Coles Point but am limited by a small boat 14' so Potomac is off limits - but thought I could fish the creeks/coves, etc. Anybody have recommendations such as Branson Cove or down by Reedville, etc. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

all of the creeks from machodac down through reedville have good fishing. pick a creek...
for example, good croaker fishing now at the narrows which is in machodac.
Edit: ps i have fished ragged point plenty in a little 13' boat while my big boat is being repowered. it can be done, be careful.

RocksandBlues,
thanks for the reply - and yes, we do go out on the River but as you point out you've got to be careful - just as well hang in easy water - maybe I'll see you around Branson Cove - we will be in a white Baybuilt 13 - Best time to fish - e.g. outgoing tide, etc.?
thanks

do you keep your boat in the water? i think i have seen one like that. any moving water is good. i like outgoing around there better.

RocksandBlues,
sorry for the long delay - no, don't keep the boat in the water. We fished out of Shell Landing and over to ingram bay over the 4th - no luck but I consider it a scouting trip - will take your advice and try out of Branson Cove - assume "the Narrows" are where the creek is narrow? will probably take that little trip on the 23rd.
