Coming down for the week on Sunday and bringing the skiff with me. I know that the flounder are few and far between for a keeper but what else is in the back bays and channel? Bringing my standard light tackle bottom rigs and a couple of spinning rods. May also bring a surf rig if I can get on the beach and Igor hasn't churned up the beach too much. Any other thoughts or gear I should bring with me?

Guess I'll have to write my own report and gear that I used. Came down Sunday AM and was met by the weather offered up by Hurricane Igor. Weather has been great with all sun and no clouds but the wind blew hard until Weds. Thurs. was great with minimal wind but did not get the skiff out on the bayside- water quality is poor with limited visibility and the tide ripping due to the full moon. Put the skiff in on Fri AM for a couple of good drifts in the AM- picked up one FAT 17.5" flounder which went back in the drink with a few cutoffs of the bait-probably small blues. Did not see a lot of other fish caught although there were a couple of large drum picked up off the Hook by the surf jockies during the week. Couple guys had a few kingfish and a large skate from the surf midweek. Water temp running 75 degrees on the bayside with heavy and fast running tides. Bottom bounced bull minnows on the spinners and had several hits but the flatties are few and far between. Waiting for the water to clear and cool down.
