You'll get croakers in 15-20 ft down there anywhere you go. Put some squid on bottom rig and if you don't get a bite quick move! Chumming near #7 has been pretty good too.

Work the red cans between there and 7. Either sit on the edge of the ridge and anchor, or drift from the shallow water to the channel. There will probably be quite a few boats sitting there more then likely. If you want to get away from the crowd you can work various points on THicket Point Bar. Grass shrimp is my bait of choice....they have outcaught bloodworms and squid for me....plus their free.

If you have or can get a chart, look for Thicket Point Bar between the Yeocomico and the Coan. Drift around this area in 14-24' of water with squid, bloodworms (or packaged b/w flavor bait) or grass shrimp.

They are small shrimp, nearly transparent. They can be caught with a small seine net in shallow water, preferably grassy but are most commonly caught in tubular, wire minnow traps baited with just about anything; small pieces of fish or crab, catfood, bread, etc. They are great bait for all local bottomfish.

Yes, the Coan Ranger has it. Or .... I normally throw 1 1/2 of a minnow trap off my dock and run it along the sea wall or the pilings real quick and come up with them. That way I can get them before I go fishing in about 15 minutes. They look real small but them croaker know how to find them.
