I'm in the 12" perch club!

I was actually fishing for rock with a big twister tail on a big jig head when this guy hit. He measured right at 12". I was fishing shallow water in one of the creeks off of little round bay...we got a nice bunch of white perch & also caught 2 pickerel (17" & 22") and 1 nice yellow perch (which we let go).

No rockfish for me yet this fall. I filleted perch while my buddy drove the boat back (we trolled on the way back...may as well drag a couple lines...!).

Terrific! What a year for perch! I enjoy living vicariously through all of these reports. If not during the tourney, then I'm betting that one of us cracks the 14" mark later in the fall.
