Went out Saturday in search of flatties and/ or spades and got into plenty of croaker at the cell. Tried Wolftrap at the end of the morning slow tide and then tried drifting for flatties at the cell. No success. The only other fish we were able to hook up on was an occassional blue in the 2-3 pound range in 50+ feet of water east of WT2. Had to keep our distance from the ES so we could keep the baits away from the croaker.

Had the chum and bait for spades, but either we were late for the bite or they just were not interested.

Anybody tried Plantation light for flatties? I heard there were a few in the mouth of the Rapp?

We pulled one flat keeper this weekend in the rapp. drifting outgoing tide around butler's hole in 34 feet of water. fish was just over 19 inches but was good to finally get one to take home.[grin]
