I went fishing today with a good friend and member of the SRRKC name Rick on the Severn River and the tide was flood high at 6:30am. The wind was 5 to 10 so we left from Smith's Marina at Brown's Creek and went to the outside of Long Point and started working the shore line and piers. The perch were to small so we left and went to the shore line just before Eaglenest Point and the perch were a little bigger but not much so we left and went to Brewer's Pond were the perch were 8" to 12 1/2" and the pickerel were 20" and 21 1/2".My friend Rick caught all the big fish today and we caught over 300 fish in 10 hours and we let all the fish go.So if you want to go fishing with me only on weekdays leave me a private message and we will talk and go.So good luck and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS ...................WOODY:bigfish::yes::thumbup::cl apping2::photo4:

All i have to say is 'What a Blast I had' fishing with Woody. I've never had more light tackle fun, nor caught more fish in my life, much less ever thrown an 'ultra light' rod/reel with such great results. The amount of pullage was over the top. The fish were literally jumpin on Woody's famous 'feathered spinner baits'. He was casting the green glow head and I was throwing the white one. With out a doubt he was catching 2 -3 fish for every one I caught, but it was my first time 'perch-n' like this. After catch-n over 100 perch, my little feathered jig still looked brand new, no torn feathers, no bent hooks, even though I did a good job taking down several trees and branches with my accurate casting. lol. When the day was done, all I had to do was wash out the bllood stained feathers from the 2 big toothy pikes. I felt sure these 2 guys would have torn it up or at least break the hook. But no, the jig never flinched. To my amazement I would have never guessed that I would catch so many perch, my first 2 pikes, and several large perch, like that 12 1/2" hog. I slunged all the big guns over the side like a 50 lb long fin tuna.
A big kudos to Jim at Marty's for setting me up with my ultra light St.Croix x-fast action rod, and the Shimano Stradic reel setup. Casting never felt better, especailly after serveral hundred casts. When rodeoing the second pike after the fish went under the boat and held tight, the rod was bent over like a pretzel, Woody couldn't belive the rod didn't break. The rod held strong. Thanks again to WOODY for being good fishing guide and putting us on the fish. If you get the chance and need some pullage, give him a call or at least check out some of his baits.
Good luck fish-n.
Rick

That is one big and healthy looking perch:bigfish:. Looks like you are now tied for first place with Woody. I will update the leaderboard later today.
