Headed out of Deltaville about 8:30 with my good luck charm - wife Amy and a couple that had never fished for flounder before. First drift 21". Then slow for a while till we moved to 50 feet and hooked a trash can lid 25" ( our guest thought he had a boot for a while because we could not move him ) , then a 24", and the another 21" and lost another boot. Best big fish day in a long time. Can't wait to get down there again!

Sounds like you were doing what it took. I was near you and had success. Nice work.

Good report. We, on Sat., had 7 flounder / 5 keepers 20 - 21" during 6 southward drifts @ 1.8 - 2.1 kts. between 7 and 10 a.m. After the drift cut off, we went back across to get some spot action at the Spike - caught #2's and smaller though (should start penning for rock season). One of our better days for flounder this year.... we rookies at dat heavy duty bottom poundin' w/12 - 16 oz. of lead. aye...aye...

Nice report guys. Congrats on the flounders. It will be several more days before I get a chance at them.
