Went out to the family farm this morning with my boy Hunter,going to the stand walked up on a few does but still not enough light to shoot so we headed to the stand looking over a grown up field.I jacked up beside him in a seperate tree within 5 ft of him and we sat until a little after 7 and here he comes,ol cowhorn bout 130 lbs.Wait,wait,arright take him ,boom deer down.Like textbook,he was tickled and so was I.Makes 4 kills for him,now its time to let the small ones walk and kill some does and bulls.Hope everyone had a good hunt and a safe one.Going after a big boar bear next week,cant wait.

Got in the stand around 4pm with my 11yr old and a XBOW. Nothing until around 7. Then heard some noise in some thick stuff about 35 yards away. Look over to see a doe hauling a$$. Did everything imaginable to control scent but got busted anyway. I guess when it is 90 degrees with no wind there is not much you can do to completely eliminate scent.

hey jamie tell the little man nice job on his buck. we didnt go had games most of the day. kind of glad we didnt go do to it being so hot and the damn mosquitos are bad in places. saw your spot report. if you dont have alot going on sunday lets go tryem out. just give me a shout middle of the week if you want to go.

Sounds good Ronald,I would like to go get after them if the weather shapes up but if its windy I have a couple holes to try in the creeks.Been trying for em but the last time they schooled up and were biting pretty good as long as we stayed on the school.
