Saturday I listened to the weatherman, Sunday's forecast 5 - 10 NE 1 ft. sounds good to me lets go. A good friend of mine Ray joins me at the dock in Urbana at 5:30. Off to windmill Bar to pick up some Bliuefish for fresh flounder bait. Start the troll around 6:45 bang 2 Spainish on board and for the next hour we were catching one every 5 minutes. Hey this isn't bad but I want some Bluefish I tried slowing down still kept catching the Spainish. After two hours of trolling we had 17 spainish and 2 Bluefish about 3/4 lbs. each. Now we have had enough fun at Windmill its time to go to 42 for some Flounder. Guess what the wind is 15 and the seas are 2 - 3 and its raining on the east side of the bay. What should we do, well we are closer to 42 than we are to home so lets take it easy and give it a shot. Boy, am I glad we made that call. On the 1st drift we put a nice 23" - 3 pounder on board and we caught 1 or 2 nice fish on each of the next 5 drifts. We only caught 3 fish under 22 " and we released them. Now it's 1:30 the rain has finaly stopped and the seas have settled back down to
1 ft. and the cooler is full so I guess it's time to go home. The final talley 17 Spainish 17" - 21" and 8 flounder 22" - 25". Now the big question was it worth putting up with the less than perfect weather and the 108 miles I logged "Hell yea it was!"
