There's a real treat coming up for those of us old enough to remember the bay when wooden buyboats (or deckboats as they were called on the N.Neck) were a regular sight. This coming weekend, Aug. 6-7) there will be a gathering of several restored buyboats in Carters Creek. They will move on to Urbanna on Monday Aug. 9 & 10-11. There's an excellent article about this in the Aug. issue of Ches, Bay magazine. See you there.
