Gentlemen, great meeting, great beers, nice place though I didnt eat and I did get some funny looks due to my wardrobe. Though I assume it was because all anyone could see was my floating head due to the tremendous camo pattern I was wearing. Anyway the following is a little history and the entrants into this years Rocktoberfest.

2006 The inaugral tourney - Clancy Cornwall - It was a chilly late october night on the Severn. Clancy and The Big E found themselves alone in their favorite spot. With the tourney winding down and a neck and neck race to the finish the Big E hooked up something fierce..... and promptly broke it off. Knowing there was something lurking in these waters we set the Parker on one last drift and changed over to topwater. The Big E was walking the dog with a lonely angler and Clancy was throwing his ever trusty smack it. It was a beautiful cast by Clancy towards shore as the plug approached the boat there was a huge explosion. With Clancy's Stella singing The Big E knew he had been beat as in the past I reached for the net and netted a beautiful 33" Rockfish right at dark to take 2006's King of the Severn Title. Then to add insult to injury his next cast was a 28". Jerk:D

2007 - Larry Freed - Just as the previous story unfolded so did this night. The Big E and Lfreed on the spot. Larry makes a nice case a boom he's in contention. The net man (me) does his job and Larry is on the recieving end of a nice 28" (i believe) to take the title.

2008 - Chris Bolman - Dead Low Tide - It was an early October day when Big E, Douger, and Chris set off on a Severn expedition. With low expectations and even worse beer we found a few smaller fish in the northern reaches of the river. As we made our way down river we came across some peanut bunker in the shallows get ransacked by maurading rockfish. Yep it was rocktober alright and with-in a few casts the Sultan on the Severn and his manly man bait caster had hooked up not only the winning fish but another to make his aggregate a winner too. Again who was the net man, you guessed it, yours truly. I believe the winning fish went 29"?

2009 - Dave - Codry - Not much is known about where or how this fish was taken as I did not net it:D. However in a last minute bid Codry outfishes the field by wrangling in a beautiful 31" fish to crush the hopes of all competitors. I will tell you last year was a very interesting year with a tough fall pattern in the river which makes this catch a truly spectacular one. Where is Codry this year?

2010- Who will take the crown this year?

The field is as follows. Please correct me if I missed anyone. Please dont contact me if you notice Clancy's name not on this list:devil2::poke1:

Hey E, looking for some clarification on the tourney boundaries. Hypothetically, lets say one participant got into some action somewhere on the Annapolis side of Tolly Point somewhere between 2 and 22 feet of water, would these fish count?

Evans,

I have money from Chad (Bunger79) and Burt (Polar Rock). Those were the two folks I told you about that mailed me their money so they can be added to the official list. Great fishing with you guys yesterday. I am still angry about losing that big fish!!

Chris,

As long as it was caught inside the red line you are OK.

Chris, was this fish caught in bounds and an entry for the leaderboard?

Tolly Point my ass. Don't let him fool you guys into thinking the fish are out there.

My goal this year is to follow and spy on Cordry. Deadlow and Big E just aren't producing the numbers I'm looking for.

Spy on me???
I was away, and missed entering this year.
Don't remember how to fish here.

got out for the first time this evening, in my kayak
Chris is the only one who know's where. (it might oughtta stay that way, chris)
But he can tell you, I suck at landing fish - lost a good one around a piling, and another at the kayak.
A fat 23 came home for dinner, though.

Maybe it'll come back to me....

Hope to see you guys more.

Dave

Evans, I think you're getting your "Rumble on the River" and "Rocktober Fest" stories mixed up. See what happens when you drink at these events.:poke1::wink44:

Ok everyone is paid up and ready to roll. Attml you have bunger and polar rock's entry bucks so just hold them till the meeting if you dont mind.

Rod yes I must've gotten them mixed up. I couldve sworn larry won an event but maybe I was wrong. HUH? Getting old is a bitch. The memory goes first.

Yeah yeah yeah and as of recent I've heard you even bought a new boat to remain stealth in the river. Can't fool us Millenburg we've got eyes and ears eveywhere. Tolly Point has been on fire this year also reports from the narrows are coming in hot hot hot. Also the woof woof, argh argh, and bang bang are producing good numbers as well.
