You DO NOT need a hunting license to hunt hogs on a preserve. I have not been to NC but have been to TN and PA to hunt them. The Wilderness in PA is not bad a fairly close..........Gary

Just stay away from Chestnut Hunting Lodge. My roommate from college and I went when we graduated and had a terrible experience. Come to find out that several other people had the same experience. You'll see his add in the back of hunting magazines. The guide and owner was more interested in getting his money than showing us a good time. It was high fence hunting and absolutely no sportsmanship to it. I'll never do it again. I'd rather to anything that is far chase than to go back to that place. Just my two cents. Robie

Thanks guy's, I agree I would rather pay for a "fair chase" hunt. It seems that the hogs have become a real problem, yet it is hard to find a respectable place to hunt them. I have heard a ton of horror stories,
even saw a show on hog hunting and the host really played the guide and his camp up as one of the best, when I looked them up and did some home work I found nothing except horror stories about that particular guide svc, and they had very little success.

You want a great hog hunting experience? Go a little farther South to the Low Country of SC and book a hunt with Tom and his Dad Bang Collins at Bangs Paradise Valley. http://www.paradisevalleyhuntingclub.com These people will work their tail off to give you an excellent, enjoyable hunt. And if you leave hungry, it's your own damn fault! :)
