Went hunting on the Eastern Shore yesterday no deer but plenty of mosquitoe bites. Thought with the wind blowing 25 mph the mosquitoes wouldn't be bad, think again. They were the worst I have ever seen them. Anybody else have Skeeter issues this weekend? The Thermacell didn't even keep them away. Hopefully, a cold front will come through and kill these honory bugs. Can't wait for Black Powder season.

Hunted at Chincoteague NWR on Mon-Wed during archery hunt and mosquitoes were the worst in memory, according to veterans of that location. Generally got away from them up the tree stand, but some were hungry enough to find me in the stand. Saw one hunter with a Thermocell and asked him if it worked. He said it took about 20 minutes, but it did keep them away.
