Where is the cheapest place to buy this stuff? I'm noticing the
price going up in my local bait shop(Saluda). I want to find the best price I can and buy enough to last thru Spot season.

Prices don't vary that much. For the bag-o-worms, Greentop was getting about 7.50. Dan, down at Something Diff. had them this weekend for 7.99, and alot closer to you. Cheapest is probably the website, www.fishbites.com, but shipping costs will probably get you anyway.

Tom, try J&W Seafood in Deltaville. They give a 10% discount to NNAC members there. Just show them your membership card to get the discount. Queens Creek also gives members a discount so try them too.

I find the price doesn't matter when you don't have to worry about the stuff going bad. I waste alot of cash on unused bait and with this stuff you can just throw it in with your tackle and not worry about it making a big stink, if you get my drift.

Agreed. If the price difference is only a few cents, buy from the most local tackle guy.

Do you guys really have good luck with this stuff. I've used it in the river and at the beach and squid and shrimp have out fished it on every occasion. I agree it's easy to use and store, but does it catch fish?

I've had limited success with the shrimp also but BLOODworm flavor smokes the spot!

Bloodoworm fishbites has produced both croaker and spot for me as well as orange crab (caught a speck with this as well). I have heard that green shrimp has been producing as well, but i have yet to try it myself.

If you order direct from the maker, www.fishbites.com (think that's the correct web site) orders over 30 bucks, shipping is free. The 8"x11" sheet bait that you cut to the size and shape you like, worked well on Rock and Blues in my chum line. I used the shrimp scent and cut the baits 1" wide and 3" long, hooked thru twice they ain't stealing any bait. T.

This is the first year I can remember bloodworm prices not rising and I believe its due to fishbites popularity and sucess.

I used the bloodworm fishbites and could not get a fish to take it. I switched back to softrab and caught 60 plus perch, a pompano (thanks for the help from this board identifying it), spot and a northern puffer (again, thanks to this board). Tried fishbites again and nothing. The rest of the pack of them went in the trash.

I've had so so luck with fish bites in the bay. Went to the obx a few weeks ago and I out fished about 10 guys within a 100 yards of me. They caught nothing and I was reeling in flounder, puppy drums, trout, you name it, on every cast. They had live bait, bloodworms, everything. They were skunked. Good fishing lasted for about an hour until I ran out of bait after sharing with everybody near me. In the Bay a different story. I've had people on my boat get mad if I put it on because the real bloodworms were doing alot better. Don't get it. Time and experience will help since I've only been using the stuff for 3 months. Much easier to peel off the cloth like bait off the hooks and not spend 30 minutes scrubbing off bloodworm blood off of everything.
