Left Norview at 7:00. Pretty morning, but the North wind kept the 20' Key West Bay Boat in the river...no problem. Started at Butlers Hole...a few drifts then anchored in 35'. Picked through a bunch of really small ( great bait size ) spot & picked up a few keepers. Time to run upriver. Anchored in 30' just below the Whitestone Bridge...good bite for about an hour. Still quite a few really small fish, but picked up a dozen or so nice ones...1/2 - 3/4 lb spot & also a couple nice trout. Bite quits so we pick up and run a few miles upriver...across from Lagrange Creek...same story, 1 keeper to 5 throwbacks, but the cooler is starting to fill up now[grin]. Started to run back downriver when we noticed a nice school of bait busting on top. Stopped a casted gotcha plugs & picked up 2 nice blues[grin]. Okay...last stop of the day. About 1/4 Mile downriver of the bridge on the north side in about 35'. Got on a real good bite from 2:00-3:30. Mostly nice keeper spot, a few throwback trout & one really big ray that gave us a nice run...[excited]. All in all a really great day on the water with good friends...and a nice mess of fish on top of that. Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
BTW...All fish caught on real bloodworms.

Rebel sounds like you did well we had 300 nice spot out of about 500 caught(lots of little fish) Friday just below 10 with 12 nice croakers and 10 keeper trout. 150 spot Sat with 5 keeper trout and trolled for blues and rocks last 3 hours of trip caught 10 keeper blues and 30 release rocks. Had one Popino casting to breaking fish(never caught one that far up river in 25 years) and 5 keeper trout. Sunday we caught 300 plus spot with a 100 or better going over 3/4 of a pound with5 keeper trout again. 18 to 25 foot of water produced for me and shrimp and Reel Bloodworms where the only thing I caught on. 40 dozen used in 3 days of fishing(We also had to weed through small fish which ate up bait). Fishing was hard and really I pulled most of these fish off a secret spot and if not for it would not have broke 100 fish any of the days. Im not sure whats up with the fishing this weekend but hope it was a little slow due to Full Moon. Sounds like I need to be looking at some deeper water from your report. Thanks and Have a good one

Pepsi Man what tide and how much water were you fishing. Good friend of mine who can fish had a hard time bay side of the bridge and I know as good or better than anyone being in the right place at the right time is sometimes key. Lay a little info on me bud.
Have a good one
