Started below Whitestone casting jigs and stingsilvers to pods of bunker. Picked up 2 blues, one about 2 lbs. Headed out to Windmill Pt/2R and trolled for about 1.5 hours without a fish. Over to the Spike for spot, people there said we'd just missed a good bite. Picked up a couple nice ones but slow. Upriver to near Woods Creek (LOTS of red algae seen on way in), and found good numbers of big spot in 26 feet. Had to wade through 2-3 dinks for each nice fish, but action was consistent. Beautiful day!

Thanks for the Report. Glad you found them. This Cold front coming through should start schooling them up and pushing them to the mouth of the river.

Seems to me the spot are still acting like it's the beginning instead of end of September. I'm thinking (hoping) the river should produce good fish into the middle of October. Those last couple weeks of the season are the best when you can practically see them grow an inch a week.
