Got out mid-morning just in time for the wind to pick up. Tried to troll the drop offs around # 12 and #13 but it was so rough we could not control the speed and my little buddy started looking green. Ran up in the creek and found out that big catfish like crab fishbite. It calmed down a little in the afternoon we tried it again and could only pick up a couple of 15". Marked a lot of fish off Punchbowl point but did not pick any up. Heard of some nice catches at the powerlines with bait earlier this week. We saw what looked like a 30"ish fish floating wondered if it had been released but did not make it.

Water looked great when I pulled up around 5.

Good luck tomorrow,

Had that same problem with catfish yesturday in the Piankatank.
Only boated a 16 inch striper and had on ein the upper 20's spit the hook at the boat. Other then that large catfish all day long. Maybe something different will happen today

We were up the river near Tappahannock trying to fish the bridge (the only boat other than the Capt. Thomas). Way too rough for that kind of fishing. Hope this week will be a little less windy. Have you heard of anybody having any luck?
