Hit IRI on Saturday. Got on the water around 9 and fished the inlet all day. When we got there it was starting to run and went down to the wall. The rock ate the spot like candy and boated at least 6, all 24 inches. Got a few interesting comments from guys in boats. And Thanks to the guys who grabbed Glen's glove for him. Also spent a good bit of time talking to 2 guys while tog fishing. Good conversations with them too. Saw some guys using eels and nary a hit on those, but a dozen spot were quickly gone. Used circles and hooked up most of the time. Using 5/0s and nose hooking the fish. May try bridling then next time to see if that works better, may just be tough to do that in a 5-6 knot current in the yak. The tog turned on at the end of the day when the tide quit running. No keepers ther either but had a ball. Will be heading out again over the holidays.
