Rocky Gorge - 11/24/2010 afternoon

Fished Rocky Gorge this afternoon in the wind. Water was pretty clear, didn't get a temp readying since our combo unit appears to be dead. We fished with no electronics today so we just concentrated on fishing shoreline. Caught 4 largemouth between 13" and 16" today. The three larger ones were 15, 16, 16, and were all really fat. One had crayfish antennae sticking out of its stomach, so that appears to be what they are feeding on. We caught all four fish on Fat Free Shad (http://www.bomberlures.com/details.aspx?category=BD7FFatFreeShad)crankbaits fished on steep rocky points in the lower section of the reservoir. Fish were all deep.

thanks for the report. not many folks still fishing the Gorge so we may have seen each other on the water.

I was out on Nov 28 and the temp was 48.3

Trolling main lake structure produced a couple nice bass in November. I recommend fishing the afternoon in the late Fall. The big ones like to warm up a bit before they eat.
