This post was very enlightening before it went sour.
I was surprised that the menhaden problem in the bay wasn't mentioned in the many posts. Until Virginia stops the wholesale slaughter of this forage fish the striped bass and blue fish populations will suffer. Menhaden may also be one part of the solution to the algae blooms that rob the bay's waters of oxygen.
Might I ask that posting on TF should be a tad more polite as we all fish the same waters and I doubt some of the exchanges posted here would happen face-to-face.
Lets save the bay and so we can all have a good day on the water.:help:
