A quick shout out to my good friend Anita, who bagged this 44lb rock in the surf on Thanksgiving morning:thumbup:
I"m sure Thanksgiving was much sweeter this year as the fish went 52" and she was home in time to put a bird in the oven. Anita is a very skilled angler who fishes many tournaments each year and really puts the time in on the beach. Her husband Shell was with her, as always, and assisted in the landing of the big fish. Congrats Anita and Shell, well done. I couldn't be happier for you both. dancedance

What a rush being caught in the surf. I have surf fished for 50 years and NEVER caught anything close to that. Congrats to both of them..............Gary

Wow, great fish off the surf. I need to get back into winter surf fishing. Use to go to the OB every year this time and get into some great blitz's of blues and rock. Stopped going since the fish weren't showing up. Congrats, that's a catch of a lifetime in the suds.
