Is it just me?????

Logged on to TF, and this animation of a woman with a bow and arrow, then a Chevy Truck pops up behind her????

This is nuts, what a joke. Has anyone else gotten this on TF?????

Maybe it came from somewhere else, who knows with the Internet these days, hoping it was not programed from TF. Hope so.

Tight Lines!

Hey, I just got another one, some red neck talkin about trucks. It pops up at bottom of screen.
Hope this stops, cause no need to log on to TF and see this crap.
Maybe it is some sort of cookie or something on my PC,
anyone else getting this stuff?????

Sorry Jim but it's the new TF. I guess our subscriptions aren't paying the bills. It's getting worse and getting very annoying.

It just happened again as soon as I logged on.
This is nuts, kind of funny in a way.
But, this aint worth it. Every time log on have to see these
video, animations of these advertisements?????
Hope this does not last long.

Always enjoyed TF, but this is to much.

Ok, let me publicly state.
WE LOVE YOU BRANDON AND TF!!!!!! GREAT BOARD!!!

Butt!!!! This is nuts???? certainly this will drive away people, no one is gonna sit threw this abuse.

Take the advertising dollars, please, TF is a buiz and I think everyone wants it to be success!!

BUTT, take it from someone who is in the ad buiz, this will never work because you will drive your customers away.
Have never seen it on any other site, and if I did, I would post the same.

Love TF, keep up the good work, but please drop this type of advertisement.
To have to view it, is not worth logging on, and that is a shame.

Otherwise, great job as always.
Truly

We've been working on the site today to change the ad scripts to make them faster because they were slowing down the site a bit, although from all testing the site is loading much faster then it ever has with some changes we've made. I've tested it from all over the country in my travels the last few weeks including a second world country and it has loaded quite fast everywhere.

Subscribers do see less ads then others. I understand not wanting to see ads and I appreciate each and every subscriber's support. The bottom line is that subscriptions alone are not offsetting the cost to run this place and I've commented several times that TidalFish.com is a hobby for me and it needs to break even. With out the money from some ads the place can not pay for itself and if it can not pay for itself then its hard to keep things up and running. I'd say TidalFish.com has a lot less ads then many sites and I've kept it like that on purpose. Having a few ads I do not think is a bad thing and I've tried not to make them intrusive. Yes one may show up in the first post and last of a thread, but that is it, none in middle and not on every thread. If you're not a subscriber I'd hope you'd be OK seeing a few ads in exchange for having a good platform where you can get good information, make friends and interact with a really good group of anglers and people. If you are a subscriber I've set it up so you do see less ads. The controls we have in our back end are not perfect and I am trying to get some better controls so subscribers see even less.

I just caught that ad in the lower right hand corner, IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE COMING UP FOR LOGGED IN USERS OR SUBSCRIBERS, we are working on resolving the issue.
Thanks for all support!
Brandon

Thanks Brandon for the response, and certainly understand needing revenu from adds, no problem. Also can understand programming glitches, etc. Just for your info to help resolve this 'Pop UP" thing, it happens everytime I even refresh to the forum -Every time.

If it was once in a blue moon, no prob, but every time just makes it not something to even want to deal with.

Glad you folks are working on it. Great site. Thanks
JB

I get the Chevy ads before I log in. After logging in the Chevy ads are not there. Good job by Brandon to keep TidalFish going. By the way I am a paid subscriber. Thanks.

I am a subscriber, and find the ads prevent the "back" button from working most of the time, making it very annoying to check the posts on the forum. I keep the sound off so I don't have to hear those rednecks yapping. Maybe brandon's techies can fix that?

Otherwise keep up the good work; this site is a great service and lots of fun.
