4Js Fishin' Report

[Double Haul]

Jimmy is still down fishing (a last minute decision yesterday after we found fish) so he told me to post this.
Left Norview around 0700 and headed toward Cape Charles. Down close to there, we found birds working and only a couple of boats working them. Worked them a while and put a couple in the boat, plus a couple of throw backs. (To include one slot fish that was just shy of being big enough to keep)
Worked the area well and eventually moved toward the western side but again got into birds and worked those again.
Finished the day with a limit (6) fat keepers 27 down to 23, 4 or 5 dink throwbacks and two slot fish thrown back. And there were sea lice on them.
As I said, a good time was had by all, which is why 4Js called home and got a pass for the rest of the week.

Looks like the Greentop tournament will be filled with fish.

thanks for the report, and I believe, as well, that the current wx / water temp. / baitfish scenario in the bay is going to make for a competitive tnmt. this wknd.

Not fishing the tournament, but will be out Saturday, hopefully Friday as well.
I have a hole behind the 3rd producing 30" to 40" fish
I pulled 10 fish out there a week ago
missed last weekend
hope not staying on the fish won't hurt me

Give a holler Saturday if you see me
the hole is small
but it has produced week after week
20 yards to the right or left
& you'll be asking what the heck I'm doin right

Hey chumgunner see you guys have been catching some fish. Do me a favor and catch all those 40+ inch fish up around the CBBT. I'd like to see a local win it again this year. Especially one of us Broad Creek or Lagrange Creek guys. I think the last two fished tournaments Broad Creek Charter Capts out of Chesapeake Cove Marinia won it (David Taylor Finatic and Joe Swartz Reel Joy). Guess who the only other Charter Capt is running out of Cheasapeake Cove Marina is?...(Me).... My lucks not that good but we'll be fishing hard to try and keep the title in the backside of Broad Creek. See you guys on the water.
It would be intersting to know who the winners were through the years Sharons Song off this board won one year and I think Jimmy Olgers 4Js won one also. Might make for some good reading.
