I'm looking for info on Currioman Bay. I've never fished this area. I have a small Whaler so I won't be going far from where I launch. I've got a old ADC map that shows good fishing around Elbow Pt and Nomini Bar, is this still true? What about Hollis Marsh, it looks more like an island on the map. I guess I'm just looking for some local knowledge of the area.

Welcome..........look for Towles Point on your map and fish that area in the small boat. Maybe you meant Corrotoman...once again, check your map. In addition, you might try Terraserver on the internet - neat site. Maptech is good too. Good luck.

I think he's talking about the Currioman Bay over on the Potomac near Nomini. Sorry, don't know much about it though.

Croaker, Rock Fish, Specks, Perch, and in the drought years Puppy drum can be taken in that area. If you bottom fish just find 10' of water in Currioman Bay.The Channel to & from Nomini Bay can be great for Croakers. I've caught Pup's & specks W/ Fly Rod by the 202 Bridge.
That's the good news, bad news is it's been a bad year and last year wasn't much better. If you plan to fish now PLEASE give the Duck Hunters there space.

I fished this area for 10 years but moved to the Coan 6 years ago. Currioman Bay is shallow but does have some fish. King Copsico Pt., on the east side of the Nomini at it's mouth is a good place for croaker, white perch and rock. The rock wall, where the Nomini starts to narrow is good for casting for rock.

The upper Nomini has some of the best white perch fishing I have found. Casting a small, white beetle-spin in shallow water was most productive.
