Nice flounder at 36A 4/24

Took the Nervous Wreck over to the 36A area yesterday to try our luck. My buddy and I caught 8 flounder that were 18 1/2 to 28 1/4 inches. The bite seemed to be in about 60 ft. of water. We drifted an area on the edge of the channel that was .6 to .8 mile north of the bouy. Used salted herring , squid & minnow. Pink was the best. Bay was nice and calm and the drift good.

NW...That's a pig of a flatfish[excited]. How much did he weigh?

The 28 1/4" fish weighed 8.0 lbs. It was not very thick. I weighed it at Queens Creek Tackle. The other fish that we caught were thicker.

Nice job BT - I am moving the Jezebel II to Gwynn's Island to get closer to 42, the Cell, 36A, and the bridge. I also plan on trying to learn how to get on the spades at the Trap this summer. Shakedown cruise this weekend.

Sorry to see you go , but it will be a little closer. The bite has got to be hot for me and Curtis to have caught some. Good luck on the shakedown you should have no problems.

Thanks BT - I will still see you guys over there - you and Curtis are a beacon for the bite- since I go there every time I get in the boat, I thought it would save me some time and make the bridge more reachable.

Nice work on the Flounder BT. Walt and I went last Sunday and caught 8 nice fish in the same area. I ran to 42 and saw Bobby in his new boat and he had been there all day and only caught 2. I was hoping to go this Saturday, but something came up and I have to work. See you soon.
