Does anyone have a recommendation for a good guide service on the New River?

I don't know him personally, but this guy is endorsed by Virginia Outdoors, and he's been guiding on the New River for 25 years:

There are many guides for the new..many...
Some just work summers and others are real river rats..
I have used Tangent are they are good.
One thing is the river itself runs the wrong way so for a river guide it felt odd fishing it.. messed with my internal compass.

Thank you for the post. This is the information I was looking for. I went to school at VA Tech and remember fondly the smallmouth action and would like to get a reliable guide service. This helps.

Canoe the new! They changed their name to new river outdoors or something similar. Britt stoudemire is the man... He and his wife run it.
New is a great river. I fishednit for four years in college and have been back 4 or so times with Britt.
