Hoping to find a place to stay a couple of nights in the Deltaville or Gwynn's Island area. I'm going to tow my boat down so either a temporary slip or good ramp will be fine. Coming from the Lewisetta area.
Thanks,
Mushy

Deltaville Dockside Inn - 804-776-9225 is located near several
marinas. Their rates are less than $60. The road that goes to the motel has a boat ramp at the end of it and its within walking
range. Check out www.deltavilleva.com for area information.

If you take four guys get a cot or two or you will be waking up face to face with your fishing buddy in the middle of the night - the beds are a little old there.

Thanks Feeshon. I'll keep that in mind. Actually it would be me, the wife and dog (a Springer Spaniel with more sense than most people I know). If I can find a marina with a ramp and transit slip, I have no problem sleeping a couple of nights on the boat.
Thanks for the info!

My wife has recently taken that particular motel off the list of "Great places for a romantic vacation with my husband". I started the list of course as I kept my boat in Deltaville for five years until two weeks ago. There are some motels before you get to Deltaville that would probably pass muster with your wife. I can't remember the names but there are two right after you come over the Rapp bridge.

There was a thread last year about the The Islander on Gwynn's Islland going condo. Is it still open or has anybody heard anything?

I'm not looking for the Ritz Carlton, just somewhere clean and close to D'ville or Gwynn's. Probably two nights. She's also 6 months pregnant, so hopefully the wind won't keep us from fishing. I'm fortunate to have a wife that loves to fish as much as I do! Thanks for all the info guys.

Mushy, when are you planning to go to D'ville?

End of May/ first week of June. Took a charter with Bob Reed a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. We catch Flounder in the Potomac, but not the really big ones like down there. Was thinking of a charter again, but it's so much more gratifying to get fish by yourself.

Contact Norview marina in Deltaville. I'm sure that they have transient slips available.

If you can't catch'em, they must be all but gone. Guess I chose the right time to have the boat serviced. Hope to have it back by next weekend for the NNAC tournament.
