Few Fish Still Around

Fished the lower Potomac yesterday and picked up a 36" Rockfish on the Md. side of # 7 in about 60' of water. Fish hit a six pak w/ bucktail, orange color, no weight. Heard fish being caught, but not like earlier this Spring. Lots of bait in the river!
I feel the end is near for the big ones.

Do you think the rockfish run shallow spring and deep fall?

CB, that's the way I've heard it, but this year they're at all depths. Biggest fish this year came off the bottom.
