I have around $75 in Bass Pro Shops points and I'm going to get me a second Pflueger President 6730 reel. (http://www.basspro.com/Pflueger%C2%AE-President%C2%AE-Spinning-Reels/product/51666/-1012195) This reel is smooth as silk. My only complaint is that I dropped it in my jon boat and the anti reverse switch broke off. Anyone else use their equipment?

About 6-7 years ago, I bought 4 BPS combos in Hampton. I think the reels were rebadged Pfluegers. They have held up well. Those reels have tossed a lot of corks and most had braided line on them. One of the 4 is acting up now but the other three are fine. I have never done any maintnance to them. Not even a drop of oil. You almost never hear anyone talking about a bad Pflueger spinning reels.

I bought a Pflueger reel that was made up special for some sporting goods retail chain. I'm sure it was a regular Pflueger #XZY but they rebranded it as model #ZZZ. I loved it - great reel. Sadly I could not figure out which mainstream model it was so I could buy more. It was my favorite reel until I dropped it overboard. DOH!

I have a president that I use in saltwater. Great reel, smooth as silk. I have only had it one year but it has taken some abuse and still works great

i have a little baby pflueger spinning reel, and i'm really happy with it. like you all have said, it's very smooth, and it has a good, low ratio (i think that's what you'd call it), so it's easy to retrieve line slowly--very important when casting jigs over brush piles. the only issue is that sometimes (only when it's real cold?) the crazy thing allows me to crank backward. the anti-reverse switch must not be catching all the way.

one bit of advice, tap. when you enter bass pro, stay focused... eyes on the prize. as i'm sure you know, it's very easy to go in for a reel and come out with a million other things...
