Westmoreland State Park

[The Old Man]

I'm thinking of taking the kayak outta Westmoreland next week (got Wed. and Thurs off!), going for croaker...it's gotta be prime-time, or close to it, by now...but I have never fished or paddled the area.

Can anyone provide any information? Tips/hints accepted...and thanks.

You have a long paddle in that area. Go out about a half mile, I am not sure if it is down quite that far, but look for a yellow range bouy. Fish around it and just SE (downstream) from it. I was marking a lot of fish there Sunday, although I wasn't fishing, just cruising. Good luck.
