GPS and EPIRB devices thankn about getting one any info guys/gals?

I am thinking about getting an emergency tracking device. I want one that works but I dont want to spend big money for one. This would be a back up unit as my VHF is hooked into the GPS and has a distress button. Anyone have one of these units can give me some info would be appreciated.:yes:

If not going offshore routinely then it sounds like you need a good PLB, about 300 or so.
