Thinking of hitting the Rapp tonight or tomorrow morning (maybe both!). Wondering how far up anybody has caught flounder? I'll probably end up croaker fishing (and maybe putting a strip bait out for a wandering striper) but could go for some flattie action.

Thanks for any info!

caught a few last week at Corbin Hall AKA the Red Barn just upriver from Kilmer's Point. My brother caught a nice one off of Kilmer's the other day....23 inches, 2.5 lbs.

btw, the flounder are still holding in the shallow water from 6 - 14 ft depts.....cocentrate on shallow water drops and sandbars....also oyster beds are productive this time of year....flatties lay in the sand breaks on the bar and ambush minnows swimming overhead....ive also found in my 19 years fishing the lower rapp that the flounder are very structure oriented this time of year as well so check out docks, jetties, and bridge pilings.

I caught several throwbacks about two miles downriver from Waterview on Saturday before the wind started ripping out of the NW.

Had a big flounder follow a grub to the boat in 3 feet yesterday, behind Parrots Island.
