The regular Job along with my part time charters have kept me pretty busy and I have not posted on here or my website for a while but we have been killing the spot and croaker From Uranbana to Waterview. Techique (bottom bouncing) and fresh bloodworms are key to putting good numbers and size spot in the boat. In the last 2 weeks we have caught 5 or 6 spot that weigh a pound or better and all have come from bottom bounding ledges in 14 to 20 foot of water with fresh bloodworm. My catchs have been 200 plus almost every trip of nice 1/2 to 1 pound spot with a good mix of croakers mixed in. Pics of some of our recent cathes on my Web site www.misterjspleaure.com.

Bottom bouncing is just bouncing the the bottom rig up and down about 1 or two inches off the bottom. Use the lightest weight you can (1.5 to 2 oz is what Im using)and vary speed and stop until you find what they want.

Have a good one

Good deal!!!
Thanks for the report, I hope to get there soon. Probably won't be until 7/22 as I am busy this weekend and camping at Buggs Island next weekend.

Tight lines to all.[excited][excited]

I get mine by the flat at Green top (top knotch worms) but J&W Queens Creek Im sure have them. Big Johns store at waterview and keepers in saluda also carries them. Berkly bloodworm gulp has worked well when I have run out of worms but is not as good as the real thing.

Where do you get those 1.5 oz weights? I've got a couple and they're my go-to weight for spot fishing, but hard to find.

I have also been catching 200 plus spot (releasing most) and bloodworm flavor fishbytes are working just fine.
