Richmond Shad Thurs. Evening !

Went up after work. Lots of boats around 95 bridge. As usual the fly guys were catching the most. Did see some caught on spoons and dart. Our best luck came on a gold dart with chart. hair. Caught the most around 6:30-7pm and they were in 8-12' of water. We started pitching to shore, but they were under the boat.

Count down to 5 or 7 and steady retrieve. I was using the carolina rig with a baitcaster, 1/2 ounce lead, 18" leader to a gold/chart dart. Larger dart, not the tiny ones.

With all the wind and chores to do, I have been laying low. Won't catfish until Sunday which will be my last fishing before I leave. I am going shad fishing Saturday late to catch a mess of bait for my brothers and I to use Sunday, Hope they are still biting!
