Slid the jon boat in around noon with a cooler full of bait. Headed to my favorite springtime Striper area only to find that a fellow tidalfisher whom had sent me numerous bmails begging for help had brought the neighborhood with him.......3 boats on the spot(no more bmails about striper fishing locations please).
I worked down river and ended up in Creek X. Caught and released 4 Stripers to about 38", 10 Blue Cats to about 30 pounds and put 12 Crappie in the cooler, two of which I'm sure will make citation with one that has to be 3 pounds. Caught the bigCrappies on a Rattle Trap. They were chasing bait like Bass or Stripers. Gonna go get them weighed in da morning. I'm gonna try and mount the biggun myself.
Still got bait so I might as well go again tommorrow.

Sounds good. I'd like to see the crappie. That is very cool.
I hope those guys weren't in my spot! Has the little man got a Mark Martin hat yet?[grin]

Nope, they weren't in your spot Dayton, the other side of the River. I'll see if I can get a picture up later,my camera is dead so I'll try and get my brother to take one. The boy is still wearing either a 29 or a 8.
Another report this afternoon.

Nice catch. That's a bummer about someone stealing your spot. Yes I said YOUR spot. That is another reason to let the lazy people of the world fend for their own. It raises my blood pressure thinking about it.

I will be fishing again soon. Guess I will buy 4 eels and stop by walkers dam for some herring. Then I will head out to one of my little spots and do some damage. It may not be this weekend though. But then again it could be. Either way, I will be far away from the upper James. And the wrath of the 15 foot jon boat will be unleashed once again. A friend caught several more very nice ones today. I guess I need to go again tommorrow. The fish biggest he caught today were also caught on a 1/4oz. Rattle Trap.
