Went fishing today and did pretty well with the rocks. Caught 2-24" , 1-19", 1-18.75" and many cats around 15lbs. Caught everything fishing cat. style with shad. Trolled with no success. Casted alot with no success. Overall a great day. Fish have been fried, fed 5 people, only used half the meat[grin]. May be back tommorrow!

Great day!, Where were you fishing. I caught a nice mess of stripers last Saturday downtown Richmond using live white perch for bait.

Whoa! White perch for bait for stripers? Never thought of that! What size were they? I live in Chesapeake and I have a spot where I catch white perch with a small orange spinnerbait until I'm tired of looking at 'em. Any info about this would be appreciated. Thanks.

The perch were used as cut bait, or if small enough, put on the line whole alive. Seems to do pretty good. Rig is a 6/0 circle hook (origonaly for catfishing) with a 60lb leader up to a 2-way, with a weight slider above the swivel. This is my catfishing set-up. I used it because all my rods were already set-up for it. Seemed to do pretty good up here for striper.
