I got on the water around 7:00. Went to the bait hole, got about a dozen nice gizzard shad in about 20 min. Pulled the boat up @ a nice sandy beach and fired up the grill cooked some steaks and burgers, got fat and happy, just like I like to do. Packed up and went to drop a few lines overboard.
Set out five rods and 45 min. later BAM! rod goes down. Rob McClenny got his first big cat. We got it on the boat went to weigh it and my scale was missing. So we put the fish in the live well and I start calling looking for a scale. Robert Moody brought me one to jordan point. Thanks Robert! It weighed 53 lbs. I will post pics soon. It was the only fish we caught in 4 hrs. of fishing.
When we were weighing the fish. I had some DUMB ASS ram me with his nice new pontoon boat. He never said a word!!! Acted like it didn't even happen!!! I did go tell him most people usually say sorry or something to the effect. His reply was he was new to it all and didn't really know. What a Dumb Ass! He did happen to ask where I caught the fish and how much it weighed. What a Dumb Ass! No info. here dumb ass. Boaters beware, he has a new boat with rod holders mounted all accross the front on some type of board. The boat sits real high in the water. He pulls it with a white diesel newer truck
For those of you concerned Big Momma ( my pontoon) has a nice battle scar but is generally ok, and she will be @ the ECCC next weekend.

Jay - just curious, did you get his name or vehicle license? I'm wondering if it might be the same knucklehead that hit me last year. I have his info at work. Mine happened at Hopewell ramp though.

I did get his boat number but that's as far as I went. Guess I'm getting a little soft. Two kids and ten years of marrige will have that effect on people.

Dont shoot him, shoot a hole in his boat ! ! ! !
For waht its worth.........(nothin)
I launched at Appomatox small boat harbor - again.
Got out about 6:30 pm, water temp about 82-83.
Ran down to the point between R14 and R10, near Long Island.

Tried the bottom, tried a bobber, tried shad and nightcrawlers, AND some crankbaits.

I didnt get ANYTHING but PISSED. Too many jackasses joy-riding and speeding past me within 20 - 30 feet!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

No bites, and generally, not much fun, I wanted to do some shootin myself.

I had planned to put in at either Hopewell or Jordan Point, but couldnt find a fishing partner.

Guess I'll keep it to weekdays or early mornins.
Anybody else experiencing the crazies ruinin their day???

Good Luck to y'all.[wink]
