Garmin 540s

I have a Garmin 540s . It is a Sonar and chart plotter . When I drift fish and turn the motor off when restarting my Garmin shuts down. I don't like this due to I want to get back exactly to the same spot with no delay but I have to wait for ir to power up and load again. Is there a way around this.

wire it straight to the battery with an inline fuse on the positive wire. i have the same unit, thats how i did mine and it never shuts off unless I turn my battery switch off.
