I got out yesterday on the Severn river with my good friend Jeff and the tide was high incoming with no wind at 6:30am.We left from Smith's Marina at Brown's cove and went to the back of Maynadier creek. We were using my 1/8oz feather spinner baits in white and chartreuse and my 1/32oz glo-jigs under a float about 24".The perch were there but all small except one 12 1/4". So we went to Hopkins creek and found more small perch. So we went to Asquith's creek and still no big perch over 9".So we went to Brewer's pond and they were in there,so we finish out the day in this creek. We caught white perch from 8" to 13 1/2",yellow perch from 10" and up and a chain pickerel that was 21 1/2"and my friend Jeff caught the pickerel.I caught the two 13 1/2" white perch that I needed for a perch tournament held by SRRKC fishing club and that's where all my reports are.We caught 119 fish and my friend Jeff took 43 nice white perch home and all the other fish we let go.So if you plan to go fishing good luck and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS....WOODY:bigfish::yes::thumbup::clapping2:: photo4::fishing2::cowboy:
