It's a remora
.....looks almost exactly like a cobia, very closely related (like same family,...or whatever). Only visual differance is the suction cup on the head
They stick themselves to the underside of sharks(mostly), rays, tarpon, whales to clean up the scraps after dinner. The flat part on the top of their skull forms a suction cup to catch a free ride. There were probably a few good sized sharks in the area. Anyone catch any big sharks?

No sharks but as many spot as you want. Two guys were pullin in two at a time and some spade fish were caught. I was tryin for spade fish but crabs would pick and eat at my bait.

Also saw that you can buy nightcrawlers and bloodworms out of a vending machine. Bloodworms were $9.00 and fishbites bloodworm replica were $8.00. I found that most people on the pier were using Fishbites and doing just as good as people with regular bloodworms.

If you ever fish in that area make sure you stop by a tackle shop and pick up what you need because it is very hard to find tackle shops in that area.

Who ever came up with fishbites is makin a killin![excited]

If they ever got big enough to eat, it should taste just like a cobe.

I thought I read about another relative of a cobe that was very rare...but now i cant find it
