Has anyone had tried the new Raymarine e7? I would like it because it can duplicate its screen on your iphone and or Ipad wirelessly. I have a need for two screens but most companies do not offer networking that enables two screens that use the same transducer. I do not need two transducers just need to see the screen while operating the boat from the second station. They make some great water proof cases for your ipad now.

sounds like a lot of bells and whistles, but there must be a market for it, I guess.
How much detail can you really see on a phone screen anyway ?
Now if you had remote control thru the Ipad, then that's a different story, but then you would normally just go up to the helm for that anyway.( when I'm on my boat, I don't want a phone in my face to remind me of the world, but then maybe that's just me !)
If it's not for fishing related activities sounds ok, but for a fisherman I think I would go elsewhere-- for me, that is Lowrance.
Good luck.

Your are not alone. I turn the phone off while on the boat.

Some of them are really great!
Just got a navigation apparently that makes a good back-up for when things hit the fan!
