While last week was good, we did not fair to well yesterday. Fished the whole day and put over 70 miles on the boat but did not come across any birds or working fish. One person on the radio said he got into the birds and fish early in the day We had to break out the trolling rods. Caught one nice rock and several massive bluefish. By the sound of the radio there were quite a few large blues to be had trolling. We caught on IOW and the second lump. We covered every named place in OC out to the third lump and even a bit to the south. Still a nice day on the water. Rougher than expected in the am but calmed down nice around noon. The water was 57 which is warm for this time of year, and I really do not think most of the fish have arrived/moved through yet. Hope to still get a few trps in if the winds permit. Dec has been a good month in the past, hopefully good things are on the way.
