Is there saltwater at Jamestown,Scotland Ferry, or is it still fresh there?

Mostly freshwater Moe, but during the summer months during extended dry spells the saltwater moves up river. Croaker can be caught there and up river from there. My uncle caught a small black drum near the ferry a couple years ago. And I have seen puppy drum caught close to there also.

Hey Early,
Do you know where the line for stationary saltwater is? I know you can't just draw a straight line but approximate. Say at the 64 bridge or somewhere in that neighborhood? In other words where you can catch saltwater fish all the time. Like sharks,flounder,blues, ect. Just intrested. Thanks

You are looking more down around the MMBT, or HRBT.

James river bridge and down . The fresh/salt line is hog point to college creek.Hope this helps.
