That makes no sense. Unless it's a joke that I don't get. According to that they don't come down the coast of MD or the eastern shore of VA.

I notice that they don't go up the Rappahannock at all. I can attest to that fact so far as the big ones are concerned!

Mike sorry wasn't clear enough that it was...sort of....a joke.
Just the product of frustration reading about guys in NJ and VA Beach tearing them up day after day while we Md coast dwellers keep saying 'maybe next week...'

Gotcha....lol. Good one. That was us last year as they bypassed VA and went straight to NC.

That is interesting. So rockfish hang out in deeper water over winter but I suppose if bait or conditions for bait show up they'll go wherever they need. Do the bluefin winter in the same area? Is it a lack of bait where these fish normally winter that has them moving and if so is there less bait overall or has the bait moved to different locations in response to different weather conditions.
