Dewey Beach fishing next weekend?

I'll be in Dewey next weekend for a wedding and may have a few hours to kill. We're staying at the Bay Resort which says it has a 250 ft pier. Was thinking about brining a jigging rod and throwing Gotcha's or the likes from the pier or walking the beach trying for blues. Anyone familiar with this pier or the area that could point me in the right direction. Any headboats or bay boats go out from there? Any help is appreciated - Andy

they have been getting some stripers in the surf( ocean side-fresh bunker) or down at the inlet( Indian River- wild eye shad or bucktail/worm). Charters and head boats at the Inlet Marina. Good Luck.
