I fished with Gene on Thursday night and Rick on Friday night in the breakers between Fishermans Isl and Smith Isl. The drum bite was awesome with the approaching full moon. We boated 5 up to 52" on Thursday and 10 up to 51" on Friday. Not the normal screaming runs you would expect from the reds. These guys bite just like the blacks normally do with just a little bump. The shoals outside the inlet should really heat up this week if you can make it out. Heard of several blacks being caught as well.

nice work Wally. I was out there until 9 or so friday evening with my cousin and a friend just south of you a bit more off of FI. should have come north i guess all we got was a cowfish take a bait.
