Sorry for the late post, but work has been very busy.
I spent Saturday on the river with my youngest son, father in law and a buddy and his son. We did not get out on the river till 10:30 am and decided to do a little tubing with the boys!! They had a blast. On the way back into Forked Creek we decided to stop and do a little fishing.
We stopped outside forked creek and anchored up by the old pier just inside the green marker. We bottomed fish with blood worm and everyone picked up about 5 fish each in a matter of one hour. The were all small fish but a great mix of everything the river has to offer from rock, croaker, spot, perch and even sunnies. What a great day.
On Sunday, I decided to take another good friend out crabbing for the first time this year, we spent about 4 hours and pulled in just over 2 dozen crabs with 20 traps. It was rough out there trying to move my 26' Mako around the traps with a good stiff breeze blowing, but a good time was had by all.
